The Crohn’s and Colitis Young Adults Network (CCYAN) is a community-led program and international fellowship for young adults with IBD. CCYAN is Generation Patient’s only disease-specific program.
The CCYAN fellowship brings together young adults with IBD from around the world, providing opportunities to learn about and engage with IBD advocacy. Our fellows meet monthly to hear from IBD experts, discuss topics relevant to young adulthood/IBD, participate in community initiatives, and join a global network of young adults living with IBD.
We are in our seventh year of the CCYAN Fellowship! Since its launch in 2019, CCYAN has welcomed fellows from across the United States, India, Ethiopia, the United Kingdom, Bangladesh, Dubai, Greece, Malaysia, and Canada! We have 40 alumni from around the world, who have created over 400+ articles, videos, and more to educate and advocate for IBD.
In addition to our international fellowship program, the CCYAN team/community also creates patient- and provider-facing resources to improve care for young adults with IBD. These include our IBD peer-support groups and our “For Clinicians” resources, created to help trainees learn how to better support the unique needs of young adult IBD patients.
